Description

Panorama of a lupin field within a stand of black oak and red pine trees at Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend. The area was recovering from a controlled forest fire that had taken place four weeks prior to this picture. Visited between June 3-June 6, 2013. Conducting habitat assessment for the potential reintroduction of the Karner blue butterfly (Lycaeides melissa samuelis) in Ontario following a decade of habitat restoration.
