The Macaulay Building from where you took this panorama, do you know which Macaulay it is named after? There is Catharine Macaulay, a famous author and philosopher and a woman of substance (there is some information concerning her here: www.women-philosophers.com/Cathari ne-Macaulay.html Will open in
a new tab or window).

Thanks. I am very pleased with it. I had thought to take the shot when the Sun was out so the Bath stone would have been lit up by oblique golden light at the end of the afternoon, but then I thought that was too obvious and in fact the wet greys of all the rooftops was much more interesting.

I would have never thought that you would have taken a Gigapan from the roof of an office building on a cold and rainy day in December. But it looks great and the lighting on the Abbey is simply gorgeouus.
