Description

This wonderful advertising wall is on the back of The Toggery, once a men's clothing store in Ukiah, California. Layer upon layer of advertising was painted on the wall over the years, including (nearly invisibly) LIPTON TEA. At one time there was a peaked roof conntected to this wall, which protected the OWL CIGAR lettering. Most of this art was done in the early part of the 20th century.

The building is now unoccupied. The front side features Victorian architecture, with some really ugly stucco modifications made in the 1950s or 1960s.
