Wind River Canyon (where the Wind River cuts across the Owl Creek Mountains in central Wyoming), exposes a classic example of "the great unconformity" (separating Precambrian from Paleozoic). Here's one site where you can see it. There's another here: www.gigapan.com/gigapans/136122
