Launching Gantry with Front Support on Pier 4 as seen from the current edge of Bridge 19 of the SR826-SR836 Interchange Project in Miami, Florida on November 1, 2013. (Image MK010538-1030_A.psb) This image is the same as MK010538-1030.RAW www.gigapan.comgigapans/143789 except that this image has improved Contrast and my Logo.

This is the view of the Launching Gantry after its launch to a new Pier. During the Launch the Gantry is extended to reach to next Pier. Then the Front Legs are put down on the Pier. The Main Winch brings the Pier Segment out to the Pier where it is installed with its dynamic position carefully calibrated and locked down. Next the Winch transports the Segment known as Segment 1UP to the Pier where it is erected and secured to near side of the Pier Segment. Next the Main Front Support for the Gantry is moved to the Pier and secured to the Pier Segment. From this point the next cantilever of the bridge will be erected by adding one segment at a time, first to the close side then to the far side, after which the new cantilever will be secured to the main bridge and the Gantry will move to the next Pier.
