Description

Thanks to Heinz Ebert (Mückeln, Germany) and Ben Schultheis (Luxembourg), who made us aware of the smallest beetles of Europe. Baranowskiella ehnstromi lives in the pores of the native fungus Phellinus conchatus, which occurs in old sallow (Salix caprea). The beetle is a first record for Luxembourg and known worldwide by only a few finds.

- About the first Danish finding can be read here: sciencenordic.com/europe%E2%80%99s-smallest-beetle-found-denmark

- This song is dedicated to the little beauty: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDJI3KCI0aI Will open in a new tab or window
