    Description:

    The rocks on at least the left side of the prominent vertical fault appear to have been folded as they were displaced by the fault. The folding suggests a left side downward sense of offset.

    The grey rock at left appears to be crosscutting the gneissic banding (right), as well.

    The lighter-colored granite (left) appears to be truncating the gneissic banding (right), suggesting the granite is younger than the gneiss.

    Description:

    Gneiss is a highly metamorphosed rock that shows compositional banding (the light and dark layers) that may or may not be of sedimentary origin.
