I'm not sure "beautiful" is the word that I would use, but that's not to say that I think you and Payam are wrong. I suppose something like the view around the corner (tinyurl.com/n32qcj Will open in
a new tab or window) is more harmonious to my eye (I really should get around to brightening up that shot though). The architecture is interesting though, and I hope that one day someone will tell me more about it.

Payam is correct when he says that this panorama is beautiful. Plato once wrote, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." And what I see in this GigaPan is the uniqueness of Bath, which I long to visit again.

Kilgore, What you said made me think why your photo looks beautiful to me, although sometimes we should not search for reasons for beauty, I guess here are some of the reasons: 1. I love cloudy weather. 2. I love cycling, witch I haven't done for a long time. 3. The photo looks peaceful for me, it is hard to find a quiet place in Tehran. 4. I wanted to say " I saw the photo ;) " By the way, it's a good shot as a test; and happy new camera (I guess). Payam

Thanks Payam. I am somewhat surprised that you call it 'beautiful' when you are familiar with scenes like this: www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id= 6002. My image has a grey sky and tatty (but historic) buildings. I agree the the red and white building on the left is nice - it is what drew my eye to this scene. Is this another example of cultural diversity? Do we have different values or is simply a case of becoming blind to the familiar? I must say I remember flying back to England after just two weeks in the South of Spain in Summer, and being completely astonished and delighted by how vibrantly green everything in England was.
