Fourth in a series of pans of exposures of the Talcott basalt (early Jurassic age, ~200 million years old) in Meriden, CT
The left side of the outcrop here is mostly pillows, while the right side is more massive basalt that was erupted on land rather than underwater. The contact between the two runs diagonally from upper left to lower right.
