Muenster's Prinzipalmarkt, St Lambert’s Church,
St. Lamberti – this hall church built between 1375 and 1450 owes its renown to the gruesome history surrounding the three cages suspended from the steeple of the church. In the mid 16th century they housed the bodies of the three leaders of the Anabaptist sect. The church also houses a “Türmer” (tower keeper) who each night proclaims the time with a copper horn.
