Here we see some of the 2009 South Pole winter-over crew. Darren, Boyd, George, Jack and Keith maintain equipment and keep vehicles on the station running.
This was an especially warm day, with an ambient temperature of -23 F and very little wind. Notice the flag, which is usually flying high in my South Pole panoramas, is rather limp this afternoon. Even with our little heat wave, I have to recommend Big Red or Carharts for a day like today instead of shirt sleeves. Once the temperatures get back down in the -60's, I'm sure everyone here will be back in full ECW gear.
The 17 images of this panorama were photographed with a Nikon D 80 and stitched with Autopano Pro.
