This panorama was taken immediately following gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=22203 The sudden appearance of heavy cloud during this panorama has caused some bad exposure, however I have left it original due to some interesting relationships between the clouds and their shadows.
The National Memorial Arboretum is located in the National Forest in the heart of Staffordshire. Formally a gravel and sand quarry, converted in 1997, the NMA comprises of over 150 memorials of national significance.
The NMA's centre piece is the Armed Forces Memorial, dedicated in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen in October 2007. The AFM carries the names of all those serving their country who have paid the ultimate price since the end of the Second World War.
