The photo series on the left shows the life cycle of the Haleakala silversword, _Argyroxiphium sandwicense_, an endemic member of the "Silversword Alliance", a group of three genera and about 28 species of plants in the sunflower family. The main part of the wall shows the steps in making one full color photoetching of Silversword flowers.
