Description

A view across Lake Wanaka from Mt Roy. Lake Wanaka township is to the right of the shot . The valley to the left of the image is reportedly owned by Shania Twain. Mt Aspiring is the snow capped mountain toward the centre left at the head of the Watukituki Valley.

The Watukituki River is typical of many New Zealand rivers in that is is a "braided" river, comprising many intersecting and meandering streams.
