Taken from Kings Weston House on the edge of Bristol. It's not cropped completely otherwise it would have been too small. You can see both Severn bridges from here. It was taken by hand.

Yes, gettting it positioned correctly is a pain though, done it with some and not others.

You are missing one small but important step. You have to check the "Share with others" box. If you don't do this then you get a red balloon marking the place the pano was taken in the little map box on the right of the pano's page, but there is no "view in google earth" link.

If you are going to take such great gigapans using a hand-held point and shoot, then I will have to stop letting you drive me around the countryside so I can take gigapans! Er, maybe I need to think about that ...
