- Description
-
This reservoir stores water for hydro-electric power generation and supplies the town of Canmore with water. In late June-when this pano was made-the water level is low. It will be allowed to rise over the Summer to reach the vegetation that can be seen high up on the shores. Then it will be drawn down the following Fall, Winter, and Spring, and the cycle repeats. The result is a large rocky ring around the reservoir where very little grows.
