This panorama of the Empire State Plaza, which is also known as the South Mall, was taken the day after Christmas. Notice the State Christmas Tree on the left. The mall has a lot of open space surrounded by towering skyscrapers and unusually-shaped buildings. I have heard that it is the most recognizable of state capitals. I suspect that the Egg earned it this reputation. There weren't many people here on December 26, but browse around to see some interesting architecture and art.
