The Clifton Bridge and Observatory from Leigh Woods. The device hanging under the bridge is the inspection and maintenance cradle which runs along the bridge on the handrail. Clifton Bridge in Bristol was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel to cross the River Avon at Avon Gorge. See also the ballooons over the bridge at www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=30205
It was completed after his death in 1864

On the other side of the bridge is one of the world's first panoramic viewers "the camera obscura" observatory.
