Panoramic view of Maccabiah Chay's opening ceremony, from the 13th in July 2009.
More then 9,000 athletes from 64 different countries are participating In the Maccabiah, which makes it the 3rd biggest sport event in the world.
The competitions of the 18th Maccabiah will end at the 23th of July.

Jason Lezak, the American swimmer who made a magnificent record in Beijing Olympic games 2008, will take part in the Maccabiah games. Another famous American personality that will be in the Maccabiah is Jamie Mac'court, the vice chairman of the baseball team, Los Angeles Dodgers.
