Description

The American Civil War Museum, established in 1962, is a famous Gettysburg landmark. It boasts over 35 scenes from the Civil War, and has over 300 life-size wax figures.

The themes of the museum's 11 permanent galleries are based on phrases from Lincoln's Gettysburg address. Visitors start at "Impact of War: In a Larger Sense", and finally end their tour at "Preservation of the Battlefield: Never forget what they did here."
