First Gigapan with the Epic 100 and Olympus 510 with the kit 40-150 zoom. Was waiting for my oldest daughter in front of Yellow Rat Bastard on the opposite side of the street and decided to do a gigapan.
Interesting is the fairly large overlap, which while reducing the overall size of the picture, increases the ability of the sticher to do a truly outstanding job. :-)
It's a simple street scene, and led me to change from a vertical sequence to horizontal, since that would have taken care of some of the timing problems (like the open and clsoed back hatch).
First in a series of Gigapans in New York...view is of Broadway downtown, the large older building in the center is the Woolworth Building, the first skyscraper in New York...
