A relatively large landslide complex in SE Oregon. It is comprised of two major landslide features that originate from a single, broad source area. In map view it looks very much like a molar tooth with two roots extending to the Owyhee River.
Each of the two slides have prominent rotational slump block components near the source area that transform into more earthflow-like in their lower ends. Both slides in the complex blocked the river. The west lobe obviously diverted the river, whereas the east lobe clearly blocked it and helped to generate a catastrophic flood.
