- Description

Some nice sets of crossbeds (angled sedimentary bedding) in sandstone (Wahweap formation, according to my field notes).
The angled beds formed in a sand dune, most likely, that is preserved now in the rocks.
The compass is for scale...

Finally found the waypoints (buried printout) - is pretty well oriented re: direction, as I recall, but hard to tell.

Should have a GPS waypoint for it, but stashed in my student's field notes (I thought she had geolocated some of these, but not the case). Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, near Cottonwood Canyon Rd. If I come across the notes, I can geolocate - know where they should be (but this pan 'should be' geolocated, too).
