Description

The deep shadows of old-growth redwood forests hint at the height of the canopy. In this view, many large redwood crowns are visible, including several with dead tops and heavy loads of epiphytes.

Nice little color spot. The dead limb reminds me of how the Japanese will sometimes strip living tissue from Bonsai trees to intentionally cause a dead stub - an attempt to mimic nature. Hey, on another note, do you have any images of the fire caves that you can post? Thanks, from M. D. Vaden of Oregon.
