Or almost - just past the campground is the entrance to the scenic drive through the park. We didn't have enough time to drive it, but we did have a few minutes to stop and take a pan (the stop sign at the right edge of the pan marks the start of that drive).
Capitol Reef was named for the sandstone ridge that blocked wagon travel further west - the outcrop here gives a good idea of the type of terrain that prompted that name.
