An interesting variety of coastal wildflowers occur on the 9 mile length of the Chesil Bank. Here we see the view on the Doirset Wildlife Trust nature reserve at West Bexington with the colourful Yellow-horned Poppy which flowers in June.
The reserve also has an extensive reed bed and small field systems. The pebbles that make up the Chesil Bank provides a natural defence against the sea in Lyme Bay
