Opened in 1929, this classic suspension bridge spans Narragansett Bay between Bristol and Portsmouth, RI. Repairs are being done to the concrete bases of the main towers and a barge with a crane is tied to the north tower. The Bristol Ferry Lighthouse, on the right, under the bridge was built in 1855 and was in use up until the bridge was constructed. It is now a private residence. The recently-completed, 1.5MW Portsmouth Wind Turbine can be seen just above the concrete base of the north tower.
