- Description
-
Bisbee is the county seat of Cochise County in southeastern Arizona. It was founded in 1880 as a mining town for copper, gold, and silver. The city was named in honor of Judge DeWitt Bisbee, a major financial backer of the Copper Queen Mine.
Bisbee is noted for its charmingly Victorian and European-style homes perched on the steep hillsides, and the many art galleries, antiques shops, book stores, and gourmet restaurants.
