The EPCOT theme park is comprised of two part, the World Showcase and FutureWorld. This shot, taken on a November day 2009 shows the entire World Showcase and the 11 countries which are represented. The individual countries are staffed by citizens of the respective countries who work six month stints. The 11 countries, from left to right are: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, USA, Japan, Morocco, France, UK and Canada. Looking towards FutureWorld you can see the annual Christmas Tree and beyond it, Spaceship Earth (the giant golf ball). In the center of the lagoon (25 feet deep at its deepest) you can see the platform which is used to anchor the nightly fireworks propane barge. The two Friendship boats on the lagoon are free floating, 100 passenger vessels which transport guests across the lagoon. The entire lagoon is roughly 1.3 miles (2km) around.
