This is what I originally wrote. I did not know what the exhibit was, I only knew that suddenly posters had erupted outside of the former Hapsburg Imperial Stables. Posters advocating freedom and human rights. It was just another wonder in a city of wonders. Levels of symbolism on top of other layers. The chain link fence panels are the same thing used to create 'free speech' zones in America.
The posters, well the posters scream.
There are 4 or 5 triangle fences, like this one, with ten posters on each side. There are some duplicates I think,
but so so many. Design will save the world stuff. I like it. I have three more captured at night, I like the effect,
but I can't take the freaking cold...doing 4 second exposures with a 2 second self timer to allow the camera to
settle, and triggering and advancing each shot manually because I can't reliably get the time per pic, so I can't leave the GigaPan alone to just capture the images. It was so cold.I got three or four gigapans, and then I went back - it seemed like I went back just a day or two later, and the posters were already gone.
It was a transient experience. Here, gone, done. I just wandered out, as I did, and there was an exhibit. I didn't know that 12/10 was Global Human Rights day, and then I captured images, according to the camera time, which I didn't reset for Vienna Time, it was 9:30 pm or so of Global Human Rights Day.
