Description

This was shot on the South bank of the Bow River, just West of Calgary's downtown. The pictured Poplar (or Cottonwood) tree has produced millions of tiny seeds - each covered with cotton-like fibres - that have collected in clumps on the branches and at the tree's base. Looks a bit like snow in July.
