- Description

A 9.1 meter waterfall in Ohiopyle State Park, in southwestern Pennsylvania. In winter you get spectacular icicles here: stalactites, stalagmites, columns, hard rime, tubes, and other forms.
This was shot a week after the big snowstorm. Temperatures this day were about 0C. I used Yaktrax on my boots to help walk on the ice near the falls.
Many people come to visit the park in summer, when people are rafting and bicycling and kayaking, but the park is just as beautiful in the winter, in my opinion. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohiopyle_State_Park
