This panorama of Little Seneca Lake in Maryland was taken from the Visitor Center of Black Hill Regional Park in Montgomery County. This shows the lake on April 2, 2010 -- a bright spring afternoon before the trees have leafed out. This image is a "close-up" of the gazebo and boat docks, compared to our other image taken from the same location(www.gigapan.org/gigapans/46285/). The Canon telephoto was set to 300mm for this image, a 35-mm equivalent of 476mm, so much more detail can be seen here. Little Seneca Lake covers 505 acres, while the park, including the lake, covers 1843 acres. More information about the park can be found at www.montgomeryparks.org/facilities/regional_parks/blackhill/index.shtm Will open in a new tab or window .
