- Description

One of the most remarkable sights along the northeastern coast of the Big Island of Hawaii is Waipio Valley. It is a mile wide and extends six miles inland. The floor of the valley features a beautiful black sand beach. The walls of the valley are nearly 2000 feet high and are riddled with cascading waterfalls.
