New Island was our last stop before returning to Ushuaia. Although this image from the deck of the Professor Multanovskiy doesn't have the the high peaks of Antarctica or South Georgia, there are some very interesting landforms on the island.
The ground looks dry, and it is, but the island supports an amazing variety of animals and plants. On these gentle slopes we found the burrows of Magellanic Penguins. On the other side of the island, there are cliffs that shelter a large colony of fur seals.
