- Description

West Point Island is just off the northwest corner of West Falkland Island. It is the last day of landings on our cruise, and the weather is warm and sunny, which is a bright contrast from our landings in Antarctica and South Georgia.
We will be looking for the Black-browed Albatrosses and the Rock-hopper Penguins which breed on the other side of the island. There are other birds here, including caracaras and vultures.
