The Altantic rainforest goes to Chelsea by New Scientist

The World Land Trust (WLT) has replanted a little part of the Atlantic Rainforest at South London's premier flower show - The Chelsea Flower Show, aiming to raise awareness of the continuing need for preservation to protect the remaining biodiversity in the region and elsewhere.

Under the direction of Sir Ghillean Prance, Scientific director at the Eden Project, the exhibit has been designed to be as authentic as possible, planting examples of the indigenous species found in the region.

WLT aims to protect areas of Atlantic rainforest across Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay that have been ravaged by logging, farming and urban development. This area is one of the most biodiverse regions and the hope is to connect and protect some of the disparate habitat fragments.
