University of Guelph - Dairy Bush - 39 - May 26 2010

A beautiful day with unusually warm (~30C) temperatures. The mosquitoes are not really apparent (or biting) yet, but there were plenty of Carpenter ants (Camponotus pennsylvanicus) crawling around. So far, I haven't found any captured in the panorama....but who knows.....

Some disappointing news for the bush. Construction has started in an adjacent field this week. Not sure on what - likely residence style condos? - but inevitably it will increase traffic in the bush. This will increase the changes we're likely to see here. More Garlic Mustard, and fewer Jack in the Pulpits....I GigaPan'ed the construction site the following week: gigapan.org/gigapans/50997/
