- Description
-
Winding through the aspen parklands and ranchlands of Hat Creek near Ashcroft, BC., the road passes around the base of Cornwall Mountain. Cattle from several of the ranches nearby graze in the area along with the mule deer, occasional bear and waterfowl in the Oregon Jack Creek reserve. Other trees in the area include some ancient Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine and creeping Juniper.
I took a large format film shot of the aspens back in 1974 but now some of the trees have fallen over or sprouted new. Things change after more than 35 years!
