In the downhill rush to get to Glacier Point, many people drive right past the Washburn Point pullout without any idea of what they're missing. This spectacular view is what awaits them. Looking directly up the Merced Canyon you see the river flowing over Nevada and Vernal Falls. The bridges and John Muir Trail are clearly visible. Three of Yosemite's water falls are in view. This is the only place within a short walk of a road where Illilouette Fall is viewable. Mt Starr King is the prominent peak to the right with the Clark Range on both sides of in the background.
This Gigapan is comprised of 1934 images taken over the course of 1 hour 20 minutes. This was a major holiday weekend with many people all over the place in view.
