Jane Latus Emmert participates in the Glacier National Park Plein Air Paint Out along McDonald Creek on June 23, 2010. Forty artists participated in the plein air paint out, stationing themselves along trails and roadways, to paint the scenes of Glacier National Park.
As a form of landscape documentation, several artists are using the medium of paint to document the receding glaciers.
Visit the Climate Change in Mountain Ecosystems (CCME) website to learn how climate change is effecting Glacier National Park and how USGS scientists are documenting Glacier National Park's landscape with repeat photography and GigaPan technology.
