I agree, it's pretty obvious on this one. Unfortunately this was taken with the i-Contrast set to "Off", yet it still does it. Turning off the "Auto Lighting Optimizer" on my new T2i was one of the first things I did based on your advice on the forum (forum.gigapan.org/viewtopic.php?f=6 &t=736). Alas, it looks like this is just something I cannot fix on the SX10IS.

Ron, You can see the impact of Canon's Digic-4 chip's contrast optimizer around the buttes and clouds on your SX10. The control on the SX10 is called i-Contrast. It is on by default. On the T2i it has 4 levels and is called Auto Lighting Optimizer. I discovered this with my first outdoor test gigapan and have seen it on many uploaded pans. Dave
