Downtown Lynchburg, Va on the James River by Aaron Mahler

This is a quick pano I shot today of downtown Lynchburg, Va. It was taken from across the James River facing into the center of the downtown area. Unfortunately, higher elevation shots that would look far more dramatic are difficult to obtain right now due to foliage and glorified weeds blocking those views. This was the best I could do today, but I'm going to keep trying to find a higher elevation view (and also return in the winter when things are more bare). I might also reshoot this at a different time of day to experiment with the light.

This is also one of my first uses of a gigapan head (I've done panos using manual heads for a number of years), so I'm still getting situated.
