Description

The view shows the incredible Grand Prismatic Spring at Yellowstone National Park. The multiple colors in the fringe of the spring are caused by different species of bacteria and algae that dominate according to temperature as the outflow waters cool. If you look close, you can see the tracks of bison in the fringes of the spring. The view is to the northeast. To the right is the Rabbit Creek watershed and to the left is the Firehole River.
