Uig Harbour bay on Isle of Skye Scotland by Joachim Cavallucci

Breathtaking view over the bay of Uig Harbour. When visiting Scotland in September 2010 I was travelling up north to the Isle of Skye. As weather was rather unpromising I kept going till I found a nice hotel - the Uig Hotel - overlooking this marvellous bay. Next morning I could hardly wait to finishing my breakfast when realizing that a change of weather had brought an almost cloudless sky with perfect sunshine. I raced uphill to a nearby rest area offering an ideal location for setting up my tripod and Epic Pro. I took this Gigapan while sitting in the gras and enjoying this very special morning. The only interruptions where causes by korean and japanese tourists who kept asking how much I had spent for this kind of panoramic equipment. To my surprise this was the only thing they wanted to know. The act of taking panoramas or the enjoyment I take in shooting gigapans was nothing they were keen to gather information about.
