Pongo by Anne Rowland

This picture was hand-shot (with film, scanned after)and hand-stiched in Photoshop back in 2005, I think. I have made about 9 animal pictures this way-- allows the image to be printed really big, but is very difficult to shoot (especially with a manual focus) and stitch as the animal is always moving a little. This picture used about 30 or 40 medium format transparencies. From some of those, I used only a portion, like the one that had the sharpest eye, or one that had a better nose, etc. etc.
