Upon returning to the grove on Thanksgiving weekend I set up the camera under very cloudy weather...perfect for shooting this kind of subject matter. I also employed a remote shutter release which prevented camera shake during the 2.5 second exposures. Most of the undergrowth is dying back including the Devil's Club which shows a few pale yellow leaves.
