The South Pole winter crew has been waiting patiently for the arrival of our summer replacements. Here is the 1st passenger flight of the SP summer 2010-11 season. The plane brought us fifteen passengers, some critical supplies and some treats such as fresh eggs and the first fresh bananas that any of us have seen since March.
This beautiful little aircraft landed at 2:22pm on October 19. The passengers and the cargo were all in fine shape after the 4 hour, 23 minute flight from McMurdo.
With this flight our South Pole Winter 2010 has come to an end.
