We are looking into developing a gigapan-based sampling protocol for early detection of Spruce bark beetle infestations. I shot this gigapan from the road to get a sense of the resolution we could get.
To test processing options, images for this version of the gigapan were post-processed in photoshop. Brightness and contrast adjusted and then run through an unsharpmask.
