...in my opinion this beekeeper had the best looking hives of the trip. Many of the hives had adult bees boiling out of both brood boxes(16,17,18 frames of bees), there was a good amount of sealed brood, good brood patterns, honey, bee bread, and very few diseases or pests.
This beekeeper had good looking hives to begin with plus he was treating them for mites and also feeding them pollen patties. The mite treatment was placed on top of the brood nest in the bottom box and on either side of the treatment was a pollen patty that laid perpendicular to the top bars. These bees looked like they were well fed and it showed. Nice bees!!!
